President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko held a phone conversation with President of France Francois Hollande and Chancellor of Germany Angela Merkel.

Petro Poroshenko thanked Francois Hollande and Angela Merkel for the support of Ukraine and their efforts aimed at restoration of peace in Donbas demonstrated during the negotiations in Minsk on February 12-13 and the recent meeting of the European Council in Brussels.

The parties have emphasized that implementation of the recent Minsk agreements is key and that all parties, namely Russia, had to fulfill their commitments under the given agreements, first of all, in the context of the ceasefire that is to begin at midnight. They have also expressed concerns over Debaltseve and agreed to closely follow the situation.

The interlocutors have agreed to closely coordinate their next steps to ensure peaceful resolution in Donbas.
