Ukrainian delegation participated in the large-scale exhibition of agricultural and food products, ingredients, drinks and equipment Gulfood 2017 that took place in Dubai (February 26 – March 2).

The Deputy Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine for European Integration Her Excellency Olha Trofimtseva headed Ukrainian delegation. With the support of the Export promotion office under the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine and the Embassy of Ukraine in the UAE in Gulfood - 2017 Kyiv Chamber of Commerce established the Ukrainian national stand. Thirty-seven Ukrainian enterprises presented their products during the exhibition.

As part of the exhibition, Ukrainian delegation took part in a briefing on the export potential of Azerbaijan, Georgia and Ukraine, organized by Dubai Chamber. H.E. Trofimtseva made a presentation of the investment potential of the agricultural sector of Ukraine and the concrete measures of the Ukrainian government concrete aimed at attracting and protecting foreign investment.

During the Gulfood 2017 H.E. Trofimtseva had a meeting with the Minister of Climate Change and Environment for the United Arab Emirates His Excellency Dr. Thani Ahmed Al Zeyoudi. The parties discussed the current state of bilateral cooperation in the agrarian sector and the ways its further strengthening. It was agreed to organize a visit of H.E. Dr. Al Zeyoudi to Ukraine in the current year as well to send the  representatives of the UAE companies to Ukraine in order to establish direct contacts with potential Ukrainian partners, exporters and to explore the investment opportunities in the agricultural sector of Ukraine.
