On May 20, 2012 the Ukrainian delegation headed by the Special representative of Ukraine for the Middle East and Africa Mr. Yevhen Mykytenko participated in the International conference for the development of Middle East which started its work in Doha (Qatar). The opening speech of the Forum was delivered by H.H. Sheikh Hamad Bin Khalifa Al Thani, Emir of the State of Qatar.

The speakers of the Forum analyzed the current political and economical situation in the regions of North Africa, Middle East and Arabian Gulf as well as the prospects of its development and its influence on the world’s economic processes.

During the Forum Mr. Y.Mykytenko had working meetings with Deputy Minister of foreign affairs of the State of Qatar Mr. A. Al-Hajiri, as well as with the delegations of Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan and Sudan.
