On February 4-8, 2012 the delegation of the Ukrainian Academy of Sciences headed by its President Doctor of Technical Sciences Oleksiy Onipko visited the UAE.

During the visit the delegation with the participation of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to the United Arab Emirates Yuriy Polurez had a meeting with His Highness Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Kamala Tayebom vice president of the Higher College of Technology of the UAE and management of "Quest Investments LLC" company.

During the meeting they discussed joint development and implementation of research projects in medicine, agriculture, production of potable water and using of modern technologies related to climate of the UAE.
