On January 30, 2012 Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to the United Arab Emirates Yuriy Polurez had a meeting with Mohammed Saif Al Shehhi Director of European Affairs of the UAE Foreign Ministry.

During the meeting they discussed a wide range of bilateral relations between Ukraine and the UAE and stressed the need to maintain regular political dialogue at the highest level by organizing appropriate visits. In the context of economic cooperation between Ukraine and the UAE special emphasis was placed on preparation for the second session of the Intergovernmental commission on trade and economic cooperation.
