In his statement, the Ambassador emphasized the importance of international cooperation in preventing and combating crime and strengthening the rule of law amid new security challenges resulting from Russia’s aggression against Ukraine.

Particular attention was paid to further strengthening Ukraine’s partnership with the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), including cooperation in combating organized crime, human trafficking and illicit firearms trafficking, as well as enhancing border security and the security of Ukraine’s Maritime Corridor.

Ukraine remains committed to constructive cooperation with international partners to strengthen the rule of law and effectively address emerging security threats.
