During the 13th session of the IRENA Assembly Ambassador of Ukraine H.E. Dmytro Senik briefed the member-states on the consistent government policy in the renewable energy sector and the current situation in the energy sector of Ukraine.
H.E. Dmytro Senik urged the IRENA and member-states to support transformation of Ukrainian energy sector using the prominent international experience in implementation of the highest shares of the renewable energy.
Director-General of IRENA H.E. Francesco La Camera said: “It’s IRENA’s core task and top priority to support countries from around the world in their transition to a renewable-based energy system and we are pleased to respond to requests from countries. In this context, we would be pleased to respond to Ukraine’s request too. Moreover, IRENA has a wide range of tools and instruments across technology, policies and finance that Ukraine can use as it looks to transform its energy system in line with national economic and climate priorities.”
"We appreciate the IRENA's support and leadership in preparing a strategy for transformation and strengthening of Ukrainian renewable energy sector and further efforts to attract investments in the recovery of Ukraine's energy infrastructure", - H.E. Dmytro Senik added.
