On February 6, 2011 Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to the United Arab Emirates Yuriy Polurez had a meeting with His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Vice President, Prime Minister, Minister of defense of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.

Ukrainian diplomat stressed that after the presidential election the internal situation in Ukraine had stabilized. Support of high-level political dialogue with the UAE in order to enhance bilateral cooperation in all areas is one of the priorities of the Embassy, he said. Yuriy Polurez noted that Ukrainian side expected this year an official visit of Minister of Foreign Affairs of the UAE HH Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan. And it is planned to hold the first session of the intergovernmental Ukrainian-Emirati commission on trade-economic and technical cooperation during the visit.

From his side HH Sheikh M.R.Al Maktoum said, that he would provide comprehensive support for the development of cooperation with Ukraine.
