At the beginning of negotiations the President of Ukraine expressed gratitude to the President of UAE for hospitality. The Head of State expressed confidence that such meetings at the highest level facilitated the development of relations between the countries. “We consider UAE an important partner in the development of trade and economic relations in the East,” the Head of State noted. He also invited the President of UAE to visit Ukraine at any time.

The President of UAE emphasized that the two countries had friendly relations which should be developed for the benefit of Ukrainian and Emirati peoples. “Your visit will expand the scope of bilateral cooperation,” the Head of UAE said. He also expressed hope that the exchange of visits at the highest level between the two countries would be continued.

In the course of President’s visit to UAE, the ceremony of signing bilateral Ukrainian-Emirati documents took place.

President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych presented First Grade Order of Yaroslav the Wise to President of UAE Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan. In his turn, the President of UAE presented Zayed Medal, the highest state award of UAE, to the President of Ukraine.

In the course of the official visit the President of Ukraine met HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Vice President, Prime Minister, Minister of Defense, Ruler of Dubai and HH Lieutenant General Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces

Viktor Yanukovych participated in Ukrainian-Emirati business forum in Abu Dhabi and in the opening of the second row of LLC “Motor Sich” Technical center of helicopter service in Sharjah.
