On December 19, 2012 the Embassy of Ukraine to the UAE held an official reception on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Ukraine and the United Arab Emirates.

Undersecretary of Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the UAE Sheikh Abdullah Bin Mohammed Bin Butti Al-Hamed, diplomats, businessmen, media and the Ukrainian community attended the event.

In his speech the Ambassador of Ukraine to the UAE Yuriy Polurez stressed that in recent years the Ukrainian-Emirati political dialogue had intensified significantly. Ukraine considers cooperation with the UAE to be one of strategic priorities of foreign economic policy in the region, he said.
