On January 24, 2011 Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to the United Arab Emirates Yuriy Polurez had a meeting with His Highness General Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces.

During the meeting the state of bilateral relations and ways to activate them were discussed. Ambassador of Ukraine invited Emirati top official to visit the Ukrainian national pavilion at the international defense exhibition IDEX 2011. He also noted that Ukrainian side expects H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foreign Minister to pay the official visit to Ukraine this year and to lead Emirati delegation during the first meeting of Ukrainian-Emirati intergovernmental commission on trade-economic and technical cooperation.

For his part, H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan expressed readiness to provide maximum assistance for the implementation of the existing potential of cooperation between Ukraine and the UAE.
