On January 17, 2011 Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to the United Arab Emirates Yuriy Polurez participated in the inauguration of the 4th World Future Energy Summit (WFES 2011) at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC) with the presence and participation of a number of Their Excellencies and Highnesses, Presidents and Crown Princes, heads of governments of the countries participating in the summit along with a number of sheikhs, ministers and other officials.
The opening ceremony of the WFES was attended by H.H. General Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, H.H. Lt.General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, H.H. Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs, H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foreign Minister, the Secretary General of the United Nations Ban Ki-moon and in addition to a number of representatives and officials of relevant regional and international organizations and about 40 Ministers of Energy and environment from various countries.
About 600 companies from 148 countries take part in the work of this one of the world's largest annual events in production, installation and use of renewable energy sources. Total number of visitors is expected at over 25 thousand people. All 100% of exhibition space have been pre-booked by participants. China, Canada, Denmark, France, Germany, Italy, India, Japan, Norway, Spain, Switzerland, UK, and USA, Luxembourg, Portugal, Singapore and Sweden presented their national pavilions.
