The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine strongly condemns the decision of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea to recognize the so-called "independence" of the territories temporarily occupied by the Russian Federation in the Donetsk and Luhansk regions of Ukraine.
We consider this decision as an attempt by Pyongyang to undermine the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, a gross violation of the Constitution of Ukraine, the UN Charter and the fundamental norms and principles of the international law. The North Korean regime's recognition of the "subjectivity" of the Russian occupational regimes in Donetsk and Luhansk regions is null and void, will have no legal consequences and will not change the internationally recognized borders of Ukraine.
In response to such an unfriendly act, Ukraine announces the severance of diplomatic relations with the Democratic People's Republic of Korea. Political and economic contacts with the DPRK had been suspended due to the international sanctions imposed on this country.
"Russia's appeal to the DPRK for support in legitimizing the forceful seizure of a part of the Ukrainian territory speaks more about Moscow's toxicity than Pyongyang's. Russia has no more allies in the world, except for countries that depend on it financially and politically, and the level of isolation of the Russian Federation will soon reach the level of isolation of the DPRK. Ukraine will continue to respond swiftly and resolutely to any encroachment on its sovereignty and territorial integrity," - emphasized Dmytro Kuleba, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine.

تدين وزارة الخارجية الأوكرانية بشدّة قرار جمهورية كوريا الشعبية الديمقراطية الاعتراف بما يسمّى "باستقلال" الأراضي التي احتلها الاتحاد الروسي بصورة مؤقتة في محافظتيْ دونيتسك ولوهانسك لأوكرانيا.
إننا نعتبر هذا القرار بمثابة محاولة تتخذها بيونغ يانغ لتقويض سيادة أوكرانيا ووحدة أراضيها، وانتهاك صارخ لدستور أوكرانيا وميثاق الأمم المتحدة والقواعد والمبادئ الأساسية للقانون الدولي. إن الاعتراف "بـوضعية ذاتية" لإدارات الاحتلال الروسية في محافظتي دونيتسك ولوهانسك من قبل النظام الكوري الشمالي باطل ولاغٍ، ولن تترتب عليه عواقب قانونية ولن يغير حدود أوكرانيا المعترف بها دوليًا.
ردًا على هذا العمل غير الودي، تعلن أوكرانيا عن قطع العلاقات الدبلوماسية مع جمهورية كوريا الشعبية الديمقراطية. ليست هناك اتصالات سياسية واقتصادية مع جمهورية كوريا الشعبية الديمقراطية بسبب العقوبات الدولية المفروضة على ذلك البلد.
شدّد وزير الخارجية الأوكراني دميترو كوليبا على أن مناشدة روسيا جمهورية كوريا الشعبية الديمقراطية بالدعم في إضفاء الشرعية على الاستيلاء بالقوة على جزء من الأراضي الأوكرانية تشير إلى سمّية موسكو أكثر من بيونغ يانغ. لم يعد لروسيا حلفاء في العالم، باستثناء الدول التي تعتمد عليها مالياً وسياسياً، وسيصل مستوى عزلة الاتحاد الروسي قريباً إلى مستوى عزلة جمهورية كوريا الديمقراطية الشعبية. ستكون ردة فعل أوكرانيا قاسية الى أقصى درجة على أي تعديات على سيادتها وسلامة أراضيها.
